The first day we were in Lancaster we went to the County Park where Grandma and Grandpa used to walk a lot. I loved running up and down the hills.

This summer Grandma had a bench installed in the park with a memorial plaque for Grandpa Mark. Grandma has taken lots of friends there, and she sees it when she does her County Park walk. It helps us remember that Grandpa liked to take walks, and to sit in nature and watch birds.

Our family sat on the bench and thought about how we miss Grandpa Mark and how we remember him often in different ways. Even Adam, who never met him, can say his name. Recently he has pointed at random (to us) photos and said "Grandpa Mark," maybe because he knows him only from pictures?
