Meg's Visit

Meg (formerly known as Shinji-sensei) was Mommy's colleague in Japan. She came to visit us in May, on her year-long sabbatical from teaching high school English.

We went downtown to The Nut Shoppe for ice cream.

Hallelujah!

Silly faces must figure in somewhere. Guess who is not following the photographer's instructions?

Meg liked playing with us, and we liked playing with her.

We took a walk to Shanklin Park, hoping to find some ducks to feed. Here I am pulling Adam in the wagon.

First we found fish that liked our bread, but then we saw some geese fly into the woods nearby.

We found a gaggle of geese, but they would not let us get near.

Then some bikes went past and scared them into the water...

...which was just perfect for feeding them. We also fed some fish at the pond.

When we got home, there was construction to watch from our front row seats. By the way, our road is now totally finished, painted lines and all.

Meg and Mommy went to a spring cooking class at a farmers market, and brought home these tadpoles!

Can you tell which are tads and which are maple seeds?

We spent some time in Shipshewana, ending with ice cream again!

Meg read me the Japanese books we have that are too hard for Mommy and Daddy to translate.

Meg made us cool Japanese hats on the last day she was here. Come again soon, Meg!
