Meg came to visit this past week, a few days before she begins her around-the-world trip back home to Japan. She arrived Saturday night after the kids were in bed.

Sunday morning was the Messiah sing at church, so she got in on that phenomenon...

...and lunch at Lux Cafe.

In the afternoon, we had a snack of the yummy "Hello Panda" treats Meg had brought, and headed to the Christmas tree farm together.

First a little time on Santa's lap, then...

...a wagon ride!

The "How about this one?" joke never got old (depending on your perspective).

Our tree in the wild.

Shaking out the dead needles.

We had
warm front row seats for the tree wrangling.

All it needs now are some presents underneath it!

I put this candle holder together all by myself. It turns around by heat power from the little candles (but we like to blow it, too...).

Meg got to see a little snow in Goshen, but not enough to keep her here longer than planned. Too bad!

On Monday we (Meg and Heidi) ate at a Chinese buffet, sampling all the "delicacies."

These fish really liked Meg, and would follow her from spot to spot in the in-store pond.

Last time Meg was here we had road work outside, and this time we had tile work inside. Both were fascinating for the boys, but the tile work was (thankfully) quieter.

Tuesday morning before school we had to say goodbye. It was so fun to play with Meg! It would be interesting to know when we all see each other again. I hope we will not have to wait 9 years this time!
