New Year's Eve in January

We got together with our Iowa buddies, the friends we spend New Year's Eve with when we're in Iowa. Matt and Renae hosted, but the real mastermind was Nina (pronounced Ninya), seated at the head of the table. She observed and approved of everything that went on.

It's ok, Renae, wait till you hear the end of the story. --Nina

I LOVEDLOVEDLOVED Micah and Colin's toys. Not only do they have an awesome assortment of weaponry, they have huge sets of stuff like this Snow Monster set. Wow! I was busy all evening.

Renae showed some of us (other chose to watch a football game or play Hide and Seek) how to make a snowflake...

...like this one that Gretta did mostly all by herself! :)

The grown-ups played the traditional Catch Phrase and Guesstures. It was funny to watch them be silly, and the older kids had fun acting out some words while the grown-ups got themselves ready for the next turn. So...2008-09 in Dubuque?
