Our azaleas survived the winter and have really bloomed this last week or so.
If the boys get to chose their scenic backdrop... We had machinery in our cul-de-sac again this past week as the City of Goshen planted more little trees and a bunch of rose bushes and other shrubs in the little Swan Fountain park. It looks really nice.
A lovely butterfly in our front yard--amazing how fast and flitty they are, until they sit so very, very still.
Today was a nice sunny Sunday afternoon, without ANY meetings, and so we went to two gardens around Goshen. This first is a private yard, but they have a parking area and Guest Book, and we were the third party of visitors this afternoon. It is unbelievably full of flowers, and, best of all in some of our opinions, miles of little trails. I drive past it every time we go to the doctor in Wakarusa, but never knew until recently that it was open to the public. One note of caution--do not run on the trails or step on the irrigation hoses, or you will incur the (fairly mild-mannered) wrath of the gardeners.

Strawberries-to-be.

The gardner/owners have a penchant for little figures, which are perched and hidden here and there...
...or crowded all in an odd clump, waiting to be sent out into the world. How many different species can you spot here?
Our next stop was the Calendar Gardens in New Paris. We had been there about a year ago or so, and always thought we'd go back more often--it is a gorgeous place to explore.
And a frog pond to boot!

Metamorphosis in action--breathing air, froggy looking arms and legs, but not having lost its tail yet. We saw lots of younger tadpoles, too.
One feature of the garden is the round brick walk with each day of the year in it. Here are our predictions for the arrival of Boy #3.

And who do you think got the closest? Stay tuned--only 49 days to go to the due date!
Ooh, what a fun day. We, too, had a fun Sunday. My due date is June 24th so I'll go w/the 1st choice, June 25th. :)
