Theo's Birthday, Part Two

The lady who brings candy every Sunday for the kids at church gave me this awesome marble roller set for my birthday (she finds great stuff at second hand shops). We've been enjoying it all week.


The second party called for a second soccer cake plan. Not because the cupcakes weren't great, but to try out something new.

The sheet cake broke up pretty badly coming out of the pan, and was a real mess to frost.




Once all the kids arrived, we headed to the backyard where the climbing tree was a big hit.


We played some tag while we waited for the water balloons to be filled up.



One of my friends had to leave mid-way through, so we opened presents--including this Birthday Crown.


My friend Aaron knows what I like.

Supper was Papa John's pizza...

...and the cake. But it took a little while to get the candle blown out, even though it was just a single one. See the video below--you may have to watch a couple of times.




Eventually I did get it blown out myself (but not that match)! Funny what the camera catches that we wouldn't otherwise see...

It was a fun party, and bedtime followed rather soon afterward!
