Spring Break Part III: Pennsylvania

The morning after we arrived at Grandma's house the action started with dyeing eggs. Using food coloring was fun, because we got to count out the drops.

Knock-knock jokes continue to be a theme, and this time we took the newest KK book to Grandpa Mark's bench and read him a few good ones.

We also talked to Ada and Andrea in Portland from the bench.

Explaining the sundial concept. The day was so beautiful, and the Garden of the Five Senses (right next to the bench) really wonderful in the spring, with the fountain/stream/waterfall flowing and flowers blooming.

Home for the traditional Easter feast...

Saturday breakfast at Wish You Were Here.

Exploring the Market...

Choosing a post-pancake-breakfast "snack"...this has got to be vacation!

The little city park.

We also stopped in and explored the convention center again, enjoying the escalators.

We both helped Grandma with some springification measures at home.

Theo bought this color by number set at an art shop downtown, and was really into it for quite some time. Not much progress recently, but we'll update when he gets it finished!

At the park we climbed and slid and ran/hiked and even saw 6 mules plowing the field right next to the park. The two days in Pennsylvania, like those in Iowa, were action-packed. We look forward to seeing both IA and PA family again in a week and a half for Theo's birthday...but we do not have our next travel plans out either direction yet. We've got to get ready for and welcome and get used to our newest family member before we head too far afield again. Thanks to our gracious hosts!
