Ira's Dedication

On the last weekend that Grandma Jan was here, we had lots of fun, as usual. We like playing the storytelling game, where each of us makes up a story using the pictures we draw from the pack of cards.

We also shucked some sweet, sweet corn!

Grandma Charlene and Grandpa Dale were in town that weekend, too, and we swam together on Saturday afternoon.

What a gift to have such a good-natured uncle! :)

Look at Theo dive!

Inside, Ira became quite the kid-magnet.

There's always time for a story or two...we are so grateful for the HOURS the grandparents have spent reading to our kids!

And so why was everyone in town, you ask? Well, Ira was dedicated on Sunday. It was fun to have family at our church. They even got to help make school kits for MCC. By the way, this is how Adam most often approaches his little brother...lips-first, and with not a little kissy-squeaking. It is unbelievably wearing after a time. But we trust that the intent is good!

And to think that the previous Sunday Ira was in the hospital. What can we say but, "Thanks be to God!"

Lunch after church with a row of cousins!
