Our second summer visit to Lake Michigan was on July 4. Guess what? We were not the only ones with that idea on that day. We were planning to go to the Indiana dunes at Mt. Baldy, but were turned away because the parking lot was full. Instead we went a bit north to Michigan City and the beach there. A nice beach, though very crowded. There was a pier we could walk on, which is always a plus.

Ira was pretty low key, with a low grade fever and low tolerance for scratchy sand. But he did get into it a bit. With the beating sunshine we were very glad for our umbrella.

Hooray for "sea" and sand and sun! Adam enjoys a little high-pants humor from time to time.
