Our 'Struction Site

The first day Mommy started her job (October 1) was also the first day of the construction project across from our house. This cherry picker and the sound of a chainsaw were the first clues.


Watching a tree fall at close range is pretty impressive.





We have had front row seats to the whole show, with all the kinds of machinery imaginable.


We had to break out our toy machinery, too.

A few days later some other trees had these orange xs on then, not a good sign. Several more came down, leaving the space with only three mature trees. The city has promised to plant as many as they cut down. Come check out our new look--we hope it will be done soon, but in the meantime a 'struction site is a pretty good neighbor.
