All in all? Plusses: closest beach that we know of, no entry fee, very large shallow area for younger kids (almost like a zero-entry pool, really nice), big playground, and restrooms/concessions, though we didn't check these out today.Minuses: doggie droppings and trash on the dirt/pebbles/sand (which I call a rather big minus), and still 20-30 minutes out of town. Even so, it was a good outing, and we may head there again. It's not Lake Michigan, but that's ok!
