Mitch's 39th Birthday Party, Part One

There's that old saying, "Life's uncertain, eat desserts first." We did something like that in having a huge two-part birthday bash for Mitch's 39th, rather than waiting for the more momentous 40. More than 90% of the credit goes to wonderful family and friends (especially Sara and Rebecca) who did the detail work so we could enjoy the festivities.

Party Part One was a potluck picnic at Oxbow Park. It turned out to be a lovely, if windy, day. Great food, good conversation, a good time.

Whoever brought these chairs--thank you!

We also collected 244 pounds of food plus three 1/2 bushel bags of apples for The Window, a food pantry in Goshen.

S'mores by Steve rounded out the meal, especially for the kiddos.
