This week we had a lot of good Japanese food. Actually, I should say that Mommy and Daddy had most of it, since both of us were too keyed up to eat much. It's hard to eat in new settings, with new people all around, especially for Theo.

Mommy's English student Fumiko had us over to her house on Saturday for okonomiyaki. Her family is from Hiroshima, and their style of okonomiyaki is much more involved than the regular kind Mommy and Daddy used to eat. Noodles in it, and everything. It was super yummy (or so Mommy and Daddy said).

Fumiko and her husband Toshi served us a feast! Of course, she wore an apron to cook, and made sure that Mommy brought one, too, although Mommy didn't end up making any of the okonomiyaki.

This is the next party, which happened at our house, today. Six Japanese friends and their kids came, and they each brought food to share. The house and yard were full of kids, and the table covered with food. The reason they came was to plan an origami event that Mommy is doing at the library in June, but then we got to play together, too.

The kids' blankets. See my mad face? I was just doing that for the picture. Isn't that nice?

The "big boys" were cool, but sometimes I wasn't sure if they were teasing me or not. I thought so. I didn't like that.

Everyone liked the swing on the front porch. What a lot of people to wait turns for!

These are the women Mommy has taught English to in Goshen (except for two others who couldn't come).

Of course, the shoes stayed in the entryway.

The big boys liked playing their video games. They look pretty calm here, but all in all it was a wild afternoon. In June Daddy is going to babysit ALL of these kids while their mothers do origami at the library! More on that later--hopefully it will be warm enough to play with water outside!
