Summer Slow Food

Grandma Charlene came out to stay with Sara and the girls the week after we were in Iowa. Much fun was had with cousins. One event was a blueberry picking expedition.

Corn is another summer favorite. Ira hasn't quite got the orientation in space right, but he likes gnawing corn off the cob.

This a picture of the three brothers (and dad) in front of the three sisters--corn, beans and squash (pumpkins in this case). We harvested enough corn to enjoy for ONE WHOLE MEAL! :) Still, it was fun to see the stalks grow and the ears appear. We have got a few beans, but not one pumpkin as yet. It seems like they should at least be little and green by now. We'll keep hope alive.
