Butterflies and Fawns

When a baby, or another person you love, dies, sometimes you receive messages or "signs" from nature that all is well, and all will be well despite your current pain. Here are some of our messengers:

Grandpa Dale and Grandma Charlene saw this teeny little blue butterfly on their hike in the Rockies the day that Willa was born and died. It flew up to them and rested on a rock near them for a little while.

The next day, the very first butterfly appeared at Sara and Dave's butterfly bush, and it even let Morgan play with it and pet it gently.

In the week before Willa was born, and just after, both Grandma Jan and Sandi saw little lone fawns in places they had never seen one before (no pictures of those).

Yesterday morning this little pink and yellow moth was near the toothbrushes in our bathroom. Only Theo and Daddy saw it then. But later that day when Adam was getting ready for his nap, it was in his room, and we all got a chance to see it before it flew out the window that we opened for it. After doing a little research, we identified it as a Geometer ("earth measurer") Chickweed moth.
