Creature Update

The morning after we last posted, Webmaker came back! It was good to see her and watch her go about her business again.

Speaking of her business, here she is with a bug she was preparing for supper. To honor the faint-of-heart among our friends and relatives, we have decided not to post the video of her in action.

Al is still alive and kicking! But we have decided (with some expert help) to release him into "the wild" this next week, so he can live through the winter and maybe visit us again next spring. More on this transition later.

I love building things with egg cartons these days. This was a kind of spaceship I made, and Mommy helped me give Al a window in the side--can you see him in there?

Below are two of our favorite pictures of Al. Mommy is going to send them to a person she's been in contact with at the Indiana Department of Natural Resources, and maybe they can confirm our suspicion that he is a young American Toad.
